Noticeable mildew/humidity smell on arrival (dissipated after running the AC)
Large mold patches on lower walls near the balcony door/windows, and inside the shower — a real maintenance concern at this price point

Food Capital breakfast buffet, despite its Malay-food reputation, was underwhelming — no Laksa, intensely spicy Otak-otak, a disappointing Nasi Lemak with no accompanying protein
